Great colours are one thing. However, the technical aspects of the shoe design are still of vital importance. Thankfully, this shoe has everything that you would expect from a Speedcross 6 GTX. The Gore-Tex membrane in the upper is breathable and will keep water out (as long as the water doesn't go over the top of your ankles).
Purposefully designed for mixed, muddy and soft terrain, these trail running shoes are suitable for all trail runners.
The midsole features Salomon's EnergyCell™ material, which offers underfoot protection in the form of cushioning, and energy return. A further notable feature of the Speedcross is the cushioning at the heel of the shoe.
The upper offers a tight mesh to keep debris out. The Gore-Tex membrane also keeps water out. Additionally, to stand up to the demands of trail running, a ripstop fabric is included in the design.
Salomon Men's Speedcross 6 GTX Blue Fire Running Shoes are designed for short and long runs on varied off-road terrain. However, we'd recommend a more cushioned option for runs on very rocky terrain or on the road.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
